The Local Area

Delamere Forest spans over 2,400 acres of ancient woodland and offers something for everyone. Enjoy scenic walking routes, family-friendly cycling trails and peaceful lakeside paths, or take on adventure experiences such as Go Ape. Wild Shore Delamere is near by, please see photo. It is water-based adventure hub with activities such as Aqua Chimp, Aqua Park, Wakeboarding and Paddleboarding.

The famous 34-mile Sandstone Trail runs close by, offering stunning views across Cheshire, including landmarks such as Peckforton Castle and the village of Burwardsley. For food and drink, Tarporley village is just a short drive away and is home to a great selection of pubs, cafés and restaurants.

Delamere train station is also within easy reach, with direct services to Chester and Manchester, making day trips simple and stress-free.

We are one field away from the Award-winning Fishpool Inn gastro pub for delicious food and wonderful selection of drinks. Fishpool Holiday Park is on the doorstep of Delamere Forest for walks, cycling trails, Go Ape. Wild Shore Delamere is a few minutes away for water-based fun such as wakeboarding and paddleboarding. The Hollies Farm Shop is also close by for artisan-made breads, cheeses and cured meats, to luxury wines, beers, champagnes and spirits, to farm-fresh, locally produced fruits and vegetables. The famous Sandstone Trail and nearby villages such as Tarporley are also only a few miles away.

We are on the edge of Delamere Forest, a few miles from the visitor centre, where there is easy access to trails and visitor attractions.

Yes, the award-winning Fishpool Inn gastro pub is just one field away, there is also the Fox and Barrel pub, Vale Royal Abbey Arms and many more characterful country pubs. Beautiful Tarporley village is also close by and offers a wide choice of great pubs and restaurants.

 

Delamere train station is 3 miles away (6 minutes' drive) and provides direct links to Chester and Manchester. The Sandstone Trail can be accessed 2 miles away at Gresty Waste car park. Also for walks to Old Pale Hill in Delamere Forest and Primrose Hill
